Although the quality of Sleepy Hollow took a considerable dip this season compared to the first, we have a lot of love for Abby and Ichabod.

Fox has awarded the supernatural thriller based on the legend of the headless horseman a third season with 18 episodes therein.

Acknowledging that it did lose its way a little, Fox TV Group chairman Dana Walden said in January: “We want to get back to something that feels a little bit more episodic in nature, it has become overly serialized. We are trying to return the fun to it a little bit.”

But the series is a big hit at Fox and worldwide, so much so that Fox entertainment president David Madden called it “truly inventive television”.

So there you have it, Sleepy Heads, the adventures of Abby and Icahabod are not at journey’s end yet…
