The new Titans TV Series will feature Jason Todd

March 14th, 2018 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

DC’s hotly anticipated live action Titans series is picking up steam and I am most certainly aboard the hype train.

The series follows a group of young superheroes from all over the DC Universe when Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites, above) emerges from the shadows to become the leader of the fearless band of new heroes known as the Titans. While an actor has yet to be revealed in the role, the character of Jason Todd will come in about halfway through the thirteen episode season in the seventh episode titled “Jason Todd.

Jason Todd was the second character to take up the mantle of Batman’s sidekick, Robin, who later becomes the Red Hood. We’re guessing that this means we’ll see the first Robin, Dick Grayson as his second superhero identity, Nightwing in the series, leaving the door open for a sec on Robin. We’re really wondering if Batman will appear in this series.

This leaked list of the first seven episodes of the series makes it fairly clear when we’ll see him appear:

We are all familiar with the popular character Jason Todd whom Batman fans voted to be brutally murdered by the Joker in the Death In The Family storyline in the comics.

Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Lindsey Gort as Detective Amy Rohrbach, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Dwain Murphy as Negative Man, Jake Michaels as Cliff Steel, April Bowlby as Elasti-Girl, and Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Titans explores one of the most popular comic book teams ever. It follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire, Raven and others.”

Titans is set to premiere in 2018 DC’s upcoming digital service
