Last weeks Flash confirmed that the Speed Force was in the world, and that will help build to the first ever time travel episode for Flash!
According to sources, Barry will actually stumble into the Speed Force, which will send him into the past! According to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, “It’s a mashup between Back to the Future and Terminator—the good version of time travel and the bad version of time travel.”
How good and how bad you may be asking? Well, the obvious hilarity of the situation will not be lost on Team Flash, as they try to comprehend what happened. Cisco apparently will geek out, a lot. As for the bad, the temptation of the trip to the past will make Barry wonder if he can save his mom.
“He doesn’t know yet to maybe not do that, but that’s where Barry’s at when he realizes what he’s just learned that he can do, that he can maybe save his mom,” Gustin said.
Whatever happens will happen, but WHATEVER happens…it will impact the show in a big way…
“After that episode,” Kreisberg teased,”Things are never going to be the same on The Flash.”
