Tom Welling and Linda Carter back as Superman and Wonder Woman in The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earth?

July 27th, 2019 by Marc Comments

More exciting news from the upcoming CW DC TV crossover event Crisis On Infinite Earths.

With the news from SDCC last weekend that Brandon Routh, star of Superman Returns, would be suiting up as the Man Of Steel in the event and 1960s Batman star Burt Ward was set to appear (not necessarily as Robin) it looks like two more classic DC TV stars are likely to return in their iconic roles.

Smallville‘s Tom Welling and 70s Wonder Woman Lynda Carter  (who is already a star in The CW’s Supergirl series)  will both make appearances in the event as Clark Kent/Superman and Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, albeit older versions of the heroes they helped make TV Stars.

Carter already being part of The CW universe won’t be an issue as Routh is already a star in The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow as Ray Palmer/The ATOM and Welling, too, is believed to be set to appear in the final season of Arrow too.

That’s all we have at the minute and, while this is all rumour, I can’t help but believe we’ll see there’s truth to it… the big question now is who else might we see appear.

Well played, The CW, you actually have me excited as heck for this…

What about you guys?

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
