Rutina Wesley’s Tara Thorton was one of my favourite things about True Blood (before I gave up on it during season 2, anyway) and it’s great to see her coming to Hannibal.
TVLine are reporting that she will play Reba McClane in season three. McClane is a blind woman who killer Francis Dollarhyde falls in love with and who is “his best chance at humanity.”
She’s a major character in the book Red Dragon which seems to be a big part of Season three so we’re expecting to see her recurring quite a bit. Joan Allen played the character in Manhunter and Emily Watson in Red Dragon, both based on Thomas Harris’ novel.
Hannibal Season 3 airs this summer.
