Three new heroes set to join DC’s Titans TV series

September 1st, 2017 by Dave Bowling Comments

More characters have been announced for Titans, the upcoming TV series based around DC’s junior superhero team the Teen Titans.

Specifically, producers are looking to cast actors for superhero duo Hawk & Dove and Nightwing supporting character Detective Amy Rohrbach. No details for Hawk’s character have been released yet, but the character profile for Dove has been released:

MOLLY Recurring Female (25-30) [Open ethnicity] Graceful master fighting machine. She straddles the world of being a thrill-seeking and do-gooding vigilante, along with being her crime fighting partner’s emotional anchor and caregiver. She loves him, but fears what he’s become…RECURRING GUEST STAR WITH SERIES REGULAR OPTION.

Additionally, we have also the profile for Detective Rohrbach, who had been Dick Grayson’s partner when he was undercover in the corrupt Bludhaven PD:

DET AMY ROHRBACH Supporting Female (25-35) [OPEN] She is the detective alongside Dick Grayson who knows more than she lets on. Pretty, has tattoos…

At this stage, we have no word on any actors being considered for the role of Amy Rohrbach, but DC are reportedly interested in casting Alan Ritchson (Smallville) and Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Mindy Project) as Hawk and Dove, respectively. The two have not signed on, so this is maybe more of an indication of the sort of people they want in the role rather than an actual casting decision. We’ll keep you updated with anything further when we know it.

Titans is expected to screen in 2018.

Throw the usual assortment of Saturday morning cartoons into the mix and we have something quite exceptional: someone with an encyclopaedic knowledge of utter tosh; a love of giant robots and spaceships fighting; and the strange desire to leap tall buildings in a single bound while wearing his underpants over his trousers. The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
