During Star Wars Celebration Japan at the weekend, creative director Dave Filoni shared a new deleted scene from his Clone Wars series.
The scene features a young Boba Fett on the run from none other than Anakin Skywalker and a pretty cool chase scene takes place through the streets of Coruscant.
While the scene seems of little note at first glance, it actually shows us a few things – firstly, this is still a young Boba, barely in his teens, and he’s holding his own against Anakin, one of the Council’s greatest Jedi warriors. He is, of course, doing this with the aid of his Mandalorian equipment which, let’s not forget, was created to stop Jedi.
Bryce Dallas Howard has talked to Dave Filoni about bringing Mace Windu back
The other thing worth noting is Anakin reporting back to Mace Windu, meaning this probably was part of the over-arching story that saw Boba going after Windu for the murder of his father.
Oh, and it’s funny to see Boba wrap Anakin in cable just like he did Luke many years later on Tatooine.
Anyway, enjoy the clip and ponder, like I am, just how much Clone Wars goodness there is in a vaut somewhere just waiting for us to see?
