WATCH: Arrowverse’s Elseworlds trailer arrives with new poster and… an awesome Dark Knight Rises easter egg

December 5th, 2018 by Marc Comments

Oh boy, oh boy… that poster!

Gotham city, time and world altering magic, heroes’ roles reversed, Batwoman, robots, 90s Flash and an evil Superman?

The new Elseworlds trailer is here and we can’t wait until the weekend! Scroll to the bottom of the page for the epic trailer.

In related news, a batch of new images have been released from the crossover (here) and we’ve cherry-picked the best ones and we’ll tell you why below:

First up, in this image we get Stephen Amell AKA Oliver Queen/Green Arrow’s wife, Cassandra Jean Amell as Nora Fries (AKA Mrs Mr Freeze) and while the image is unremarkable in most ways, we did notice… Bane’s mask in the cabinet. And not just any Bane, but Tom Hardy’s Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. Do we think there’s more to this? No, but we do think that, given the event is called Elseworlds and we know that we will see nods to there DC shows and worlds, we think this is likely just a cool nod to the vastness of these worlds and characters:

Next up, here’s an awesome scene of our heroes on the roof of Gotham City PD:

And finally, here’s a few great shots of Ruby Rose as Batwoman:

Arrowverse “Elseworlds” begins with The Flash on Sunday, December 9, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10, and ends with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11. All episodes air at 8 p.m. EST.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
