Is this our first look at Bane?
The final series of Gotham will have an episode called I Am Bane, so we’re guessing that, as the show goes into its final few episodes and brings us the No Man’s Land storyline where the city is devastated by a massive earthquake, leaving it at the mercy of its villains, One will come in and try to capitalise from the chaos much as he did in the Knightfall comics where he ran Batman into the ground then took Gotham.
But this new video from actor Shane West seems to imply he is playing the only man to ever beat Batman in a new video (below) he shared on his instagram.
Shane West, star of Nikita, has been hired to play a character call Eduardo Dorrance, a character who so far being kept hush hush (pun intended): Eduardo Dorrance served alongside Jim Gordon in the Army. Dorrance returns to Gotham and offers to help Gordon bring law and order to the crime-ridden metropolis with a team of elite soldiers. But Gordon soon realizes that “Dorrance’s true intentions in Gotham are much darker and more evil than he could have believed.”
However, comic fans will recognise the name Edmund Dorrance – very close to Eduardo Dorrance – as the villain King Snake, who also happens to be the father of Bane!
But in the Gotham-verse will he BE Bane? What say you all?
