Every Whovian across the globe has been awaiting an official look at Peter Capaldi as the 12th incarnation of the time lord… and it looks like they will still be waiting as this 15 second TV trailer fails to show us… anything.
Ok, well it does show us something. For a few brief seconds we get a backlit image of Capaldi leaning over the rails of the Tardis. Why is he backlit? Because apparently his iconic time-ship is throwing another major hissy fit – cue sparks and flames as the console explodes for the billionth time in the shows history.
Still it does its job of managing to drum up excitement – I did get a small thrill from it as it also gives us an air date – roughly. Yes the adventures of the 12th Doctor kick off this August in the UK, with the US catching it on BBC America around the same time, no doubt.
