Ooooooh… we have our unexpected first look at Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon.
House of the Dragon stars Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower and Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, “a peerless warrior and a dragon rider who possesses the true blood of the dragon” his character is the young brother of Paddy Considine’s King Viserys.
Recently at GalaxyCon’s virtual Doctor Who Q&A, Smith said of his role: “I think it’ll be a really exciting cast, I think it’s a wonderful legacy to be part of and it’s a great part. And without saying too much, I’m just sort of looking forward to riding a few dragons…if I get to.
“Who knows what goes on in this role, but yeah look – I’m just looking forward to getting started and I think, hopefully, with the people involved, it could be really exciting.”
We know the series will focus on the Targaryens and will most likely have more magic, dragons etc than the original series but there’s not a lot more known at this stage.
Whatever the case, come 2022, we’ll be first in line in front of our screens to see what happens next (em, previously) and hoping beyond hope that this new adventure can somehow fix everything that went so very wrong in Game of Thrones’ final season.
