WATCH: Meet the world’s deadliest killers in new Dexter: Resurrection behind-the-scenes

We have a new ‘Inside the Series’ behind-the-scenes featurette for Dexter: Resurrection and it’s highlighting more of the story Dexter, played by Michael C Hall, is going to find himself in this season.

Although we figured this out already, it seems that Peter Dinklage’s Leon Prater is gathering the best serial killers around, a murderous Avengers, if you will, and Dexter is one of them. The team also includes Uma Thurman’s Charley, Krysten Ritter’s Mia Lapierre, David Dastmalchian’s Gareth, Neil Patrick Harris’ Lowell and more.

The cast is banging, and I have a feeling this will be a new take on Dexter, and it could be a lot of bloody fun.

Dexter Resurrection,  a continuation of Dexter: New Blood, takes place weeks after Dexter Morgan (Michael C Hall) takes a bullet to the chest from his own son, as he awakens from a coma to find Harrison (Jack Alcott) gone without a trace.

Dexter: Original Sin gets second season order at Showtime/Paramount+

Realizing the weight of what he put his son through, Dexter sets out for New York City, determined to find him and make things right. But closure won’t come easy.

When Miami Metro’s Angel Batista (David Zayas) arrives with questions, Dexter realizes his past is catching up to him fast. As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined—and that the only way out is together.

New city, new secrets. Michael C Hall is back in Dexter: Resurrection, premiering July 11th

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
