Some great news for fans of the Pacific Rim franchise today as we have a trailer for the upcoming animated series Pacific Rim: The Black.
The new series from Netflix seems to take place after the first two movies – sadly, it’s unlikely we’ll get a third movie without the man who created the franchise, Guillermo Del Toro – and focuses on a brother and sister who pilot a Jaeger they have found in a quest to find their lost parents. And it’s set in Australia.
The trailer seems to show the duo activating The Drift for the first time – The Drift, as fans of the franchise will know, is the connection between pilots that is unique and allows them to work together to pilot the giant walking robots.
The series has already been granted two seasons at Netflix and we’re excited as hell about this… what about you?
