WATCH: Trailer speeds in for Fast & Furious: Spy Racers animated series

December 11th, 2019 by Marc Comments

We finally have a trailer for the first ever Fast & Furious TV series, Spy Racers.

Focusing on Dom Toretto’s cousin Tony who gets recruited by the government along with his friends to be, you guessed it, spies, the series looks, well, a little bland?

I mean, The F&F franchise is a massive guilty pleasure for me, so I’ll certainly be checking it out, I just hope it’s better than this makes it look and that it dips into the franchise’s mythology – yes, you read that right.

Teenager Tony Toretto follows in the footsteps of his cousin Dom when he and his friends are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate SH1FT3R, an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization bent on world domination.

The exciting adventure series for kids features the voice talents of Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) as Dom’s younger cousin turned spy racer Tony Toretto, Camille Ramsey (American Vandal) as the formidable Layla Gray, a notable underground racer who works for SH1FT3R, Luke Youngblood (Harry Potter) as Frostee Benson, a 13-year old tech genius, Charlet Chung (Overwatch) as Echo, a master artist and natural spy, Jorge Diaz (Jane the Virgin) as Cisco Renaldo, both the muscle and the sweetheart of the crew, Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton)as the team’s secret agent liaison Ms.

Nowhere, Similce Diesel as Frostee’s younger sister Sissy, and Manish Dayal (The Resident) as Shashi Dhar, the world-domination-obsessed leader of the criminal organization SH1FT3R.

Fast & Furious: Spy Racers comes to Netflix on December 26th, 2019.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
