MTV and Dimension TV have given us our first look at the upcoming Scream: The TV Series during the MTV Movie Awards last night.
While it looks like fairly standard stuff, the look and fel isn’t far off but are they trying too hard with the whole “Slasher movies don’t work as TV series” referencing? Yeah probably.
And still no look at the new Ghostface? Well, that’s unforgivable…
In the “Scream TV Series,” everyone has secrets. Everyone tells lies. Everyone is fair game. What starts as a YouTube video going viral, soon leads to problems for the teenagers of Lakewoodand serves as the catalyst for a murder that opens up a window to the town’s troubled past.
The “Scream TV Series” stars Bex Taylor-Klaus, Willa Fitzgerald, John Karna, Connor Weil and Amadeus Serafini.
The show’s premiere features Bella Thorne in what’s apparently a recreation of the original film’s classic opening sequence. Jamie Travis (For a Good Time, Call…) directs the pilot.
