Writer and producer: “All change in Arrow Season 3”

April 17th, 2014 by Marc Comments

With Arrow’s current second season coming near its end – May 14th fact fans – all is about to change for Oliver Queen and his family, friends and partners…

Collider have spoken to executive producer and writer Andrew Kreisberg about what sort fo changes we can expect in the third season:

BEWARE THIS GETS PRETTY SPOILERISH (ESPECIALLY ABOUT THE END OF SEASON 2)

“We’re gonna start season three with Oliver in very different circumstances than he’s been before. Obviously, him being in different circumstances changes the circumstances of his paid bodyguard and paid assistant, since he can no longer pay them.  For season 3, you’ll see that some of our familiar standing sets from season 1 and 2 that you’ve come to know and love as being Arrow, are gonna be retired for reasons that will become apparent, as you see [in] these last episodes.

“We have already seen designs for some of the new sets for season 3, which are amazing. We want the show to feel like it’s constantly evolving, changing and growing. If this year is the sequel, then next year is ‘Arrow 3.’ As different as ‘2’ is from ‘1,’ in ‘3,’ they got Ewoks.”

We think he’s kidding about the Ewoks.

So it looks like Oliver and his family are set to lose their wealth this season… at the hands of Deathstroke, perhaps? And does this mean that some members of the cast aren’t returning? Personally i though Felicity was a cert to move to The Flash series. All will be revealed. Eventaully.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
