Assassin’s Creed IV Freedom Cry DLC due December 17

The December 17th launch date for the single-player add-on pack was spotted by in an advert featured in Game Informer magazine, which promises a four hour-plus story (above)

Freedom Cry is available as part of the Assassin’s Creed IV Season Pass, which also offers new multiplayer characters, the exclusive Kraken Ship Pack and additional personalization options.

According to Freedom Cry’s official description:

 “Born a slave, Adewale found freedom as a pirate aboard the Jackdaw as Captain Edward Kenway’s second-in-command. Fifteen years later, Adewale has become a trained assassin and finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapon nor crew, starting a new adventure of his own.”

 

Logos for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One are featured in the ad, suggesting the DLC will launch on each platform simultaneously. The DLC has yet to be confirmed for Wii U and it isn’t yet clear when the content will be available on PC.

A price for Freedom Cry has yet to be announced.
