The Battlefield 1 open beta is available to all players on Xbox One, PS4 and PC from today- and we have tried it.
As Battlefield Insider member, I downloaded the game yesterday for my Xbox One for the trial early and can confirm it looks as gorgeous as the trailers suggested, is immersive and generally ticks all the boxes I want from a multiplayer.
The beta weighs in at around 6.1GB and is set to run for an entire week until September 8.
Xbox One players will need an Xbox Live Gold membership to play, while there are no restrictions on PS4 and PC.
