Lionsgate confirm John Wick video game, big announcement coming soon

January 3rd, 2026 by Marc Comments

I have been reporting on a John Wick video game for almost two years now and it seems it has finally been confirmed as being in the works.

At this stage, I don’t think I need to explain what the John Wick franchise is, but so far it’s had four main Wick movies starring Keanu Reeves as the ex-hitman out for revenge, a spin-off Ballerina movie starring Ana DeArmes, a limited tv series, The Continental (which may or may not be canon), a comic series which is absolutley not canon, and a host of shows and movies in production.

CONFIRMED: Details on John Wick 5 which is in development along with new spinoffs, TV shows and major video game

A video game seems to the next natural evolution and it’s been confirmed that an AAA (big budget, high profile, big IP) game is coming.

In Lionsgate’s Q2 2026 earnings call, Lionsgate chairman Adam Fogelson said: “Our AAA game opportunities and other gaming opportunities. around John Wick and Saw and some others that we’ll be announcing soon.”

So, not just John Wick, but a Saw/Jigsaw game too, huh? Man, it will be great to get to the days when movies have actual videogame spinoffs and not just appearances in Fortnight!

While details at this stage are unknown, it’s likely it’s going to be a bigger affair than John Wick: Hex, the 2019 tactical games that seems to have gone mostly unnoticed by fans. It’s also worth noting that Reeves himself is no stranger to video game voice work, having been the face of the Cyberpunk games, so I’d be very surprised if he didn’t play Wick here too.

Rumour is that the game will be open world, but I’d imagine this and all the other stuff we’ve discussed above, will be confirmed soon.

I just got a PS5 for Christmas, so this can’t come soon enough!
