Remember the first time someone described Netflix to you? Yeah me neither, but I’m sure I was against the concept as I was a hoarder for many a year, without having something to actually own I didn’t want to hear about it. Now I’m a Netflix genius. Watching movies and Tv shows I’ve never heard of, surfing through DNS settings until I land in America for all the other stuff. It’s fantastic.  Now I have some lovely news for everyone, you can get the same thing for PS3, Vita and PS4 games and it is called Playstation Now.

Playstation Now is coming to the UK pretty damn Playstation Soon, it has been active in America for a while now and now we are getting it. The service, as it stands in America, allows players to use a Dualshock 3  or 4 to play Playstation 3 games, and soon playstation EverythingElse games also, through their ps4, ps3 and Bravia TVs.  The bad news/good news trade off, however, is thus.  There is no release date for it as yet but if you are a PS4 owner like myself you can sign up to become  beta tester at no cost as soon as it is available.

“PS Now will deliver blockbuster and critically acclaimed PlayStation(R)3 (PS3(TM)) games streamed via the cloud; giving more people the opportunity to experience the world of PlayStation(R). During the private beta, the PS Now service will be available to select participants in the UK on PS4 only and will be free of charge during the initial stage of the private beta

PS Now will put epic adventures, iconic characters and incredible PS3 games at the players’ fingertips, allowing them to play immediately without needing to wait for downloads, updates or installs or make a trip to the shops. Once the service launches fully, games will be streamed at a low rental cost, initially to PS4 and later to other PS Now compatible devices. All the player will require is a DUALSHOCK(R)4 or DUALSHOCK(R)3 wireless controller and a broadband internet connection (minimum 5mbps recommended).

During the private beta there will be a wide selection of games covering a wide range of genres available from the industry’s best software developers and publishers. These will include for example, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, The Last of Us, God of War Ascension, Rayman Legends, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package, Just Cause 2, The Walking Dead (Telltale) and Dirt 3 “

PlayStation(R)Plus members who own a PlayStation(R)4 (PS4(TM)) system will be given the opportunity to be amongst the first to experience PS Now by registering their interest in becoming a participant at www.playstation.com/psnow. Other players wishing to be part of later phases of the beta trial can also register their interest and will be sent more information at a later date.”
