The sequel to Olympus Has Fallen met with an unusual circumstance, it’s director Fredrik Bond left the film a week before the shooting was to begin. Star Gerard Butler and Millennium had to scramble to try and find a new director.
Apparently, according to the Hollywood Reporter, they have found one in Babak Najafi. The director has worked on both TV and movies, though this would be his first English movie.
And even if the deal is made there is going to be some dancing when it comes to the filming of London Had Fallen. Mainly because star Gerard Butler is set to film the movie Geostorm when is now set to begin. Therefore, the movie will first film the scenes with the other leads (Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett and Melissa Leo), then in February the shooting will continue when Butler has returned.
