Get ready for the new daily show

This Christmas the Arrowverse shows are heading to Gotham City… and Batwoman!

Oh. My. God.

Look, we’re pretty much sure at this point in the Arrowverse that Batman is out there but, for whatever reason, has just left Green arrow and the gang alone.

Stephen Amell, Green Arrow/Oliver Queen, has said he wants Batman in the Arrowverse (here), in the show itself Queen has made reference to Bruce Wayne (here) and Rip Hunter, in Legends of Tomorrow Season 1 said “I’ve seen Men of Steel Fall and Dark Knights die,” so yeah, Batman is out there.

But it looks like this Christmas we will get closer to Batman in the Arrowverse than ever before as the crossover event that ties Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and the Legends together in one massive unified story – now a holiday tradition – will find itself in Gotham City and will feature a big character in the Batfamily: Batwoman.

Say what?!

Amell, speaking earlier today at The CW’s Upfronts event (check out the awesome presentation art above), said: “We will be doing another crossover event this fall on The CW [and] we will be introducing a new character. We will be fighting alongside Batwoman.”

The actor told TVline that instead of the usual crossover epic size, this year will be “very specific.” Whatever that means.

CW president Mark Pedowitz added: “We’re adding the city of Gotham into the Arrowverse.”

Pardon us while we go and ‘Squeeeeeeeeee!’ for a minute.

Oh man, with Cisco in The Flash last week name dropping Doom Patrol (who have just been given their own series over at DC Universe) we’re wondering just how big the Arrowverse can actually become.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
