I’m old, none of this makes sense to me…

The first teaser poster has arrived for Michael Bay’s Skibidi Toilet movie.

Whatever the feck that means.

Ok, so the Youtube sensation, animated series Skibidi Toilet is now getting the big screen action treatment from the man who brought us Transformers, The Rock and so much more, in fact, I am reliably told that Bay’s movies, in particular Transformers, inspired the animated series from Georgia-based animator Alexey Gerasimov.

It is apparently believed that the movie could lead to a cinematic world as big as the MCU. Lord help us.

According to Forbes: Each episode features grotesque images of heads poking out of stained toilet bowls, engaged in a fierce battle with mechanical men made of media equipment, such as speakers, televisions and cameras. Gerasimov was originally inspired by terrible dreams of “heads coming out of toilets”. Recent episodes depict kaiju-size mechs armed with laser beams.

As well as Bay, the movie has Rob Legato, SFX supervisor on Titanic and Avatar and production designer Jeffrey Beecroft who worked on 12 Monkeys and Transformers.

Look, I admit, on the surface this sounds weird but there’s no denying the talent it has now attracted, so someone, somewhere has a vision for this that isn’t just one movie.

What that vision is would seem to be a cross between bizarre horror and Pacific Rim.

Thoughts? I know you have ’em and I wanna hear them all…

UPDATE:

Michael Bay has put out a video saying that he is NOT directing a Skibidi Toilet movie… make of this what you will:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
