Jeremy Irvine (Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, War Horse) and Hannah Emily Anderson (X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Jigsaw) star in the new psychological horror Return to Silent Hill, writes Phil over at Live for Films.
Christophe Gans (Beauty and the Beast, Brotherhood of The Wolf), director of the first Silent Hill feature, is returning to reprise his role at the helm of this next installment in the film franchise. Written by Gans, Sandra Vo-Anh (Beauty and the Beast) and William Josef Schneider, Return to Silent Hill is based on Silent Hill 2, the second and most popular game in Konami’s successful video game series.

When a mysterious letter from his lost love calls him back to Silent Hill, James Sunderland (Jeremy Irvine) finds a once-recognizable town transformed by an unknown evil. While he desperately searches for her, he encounters terrifying creatures and begins to unravel the mystery of what happened to the town. But as he descends deeper into the darkness the secrets he uncovers lead to a horrifying truth, and James finds himself struggling to hold on long enough to save his one true love.
Return to Silent Hill is produced by Victor Hadida (upcoming The Crow starring Bill Skarsgård and FKA twigs, Resident Evil and Silent Hill franchises) under his Davis Films banner. Also behind the production are Hassell Free Productions’ Molly Hassell and David Wulf (Call Jane, The Card Counter, Inheritance).
Return to Silent Hill hits cinemas in January 2026.
