It looks like Disney is really getting the band back together as Daredevil: Born Again season 3 films in New York.

With Charlie Cox back already as Daredevil/Matt Murdock and having already appeared in the MCU on several occasions (and yes, the Netflix shows are officially MCU canon now), the currently airing season 2 of Born Again will see Cox’s fellow Defenders star Krysten Ritter return as Jessica Jones and now it’s confirmed that the last two Defenders,  Luke Cage, played by Mike Colter and Iron Fist, played by Finn Jones, are set for their big MCU debut next season.

Amazon moving ahead with their Robocop reboot series

The duo were, according to new reports, ‘spotted on the set of the Marvel Television series outside a Brooklyn courthouse, reuniting with Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter’.

Exciting stuff, especially for fans of the Netflix shows and the MCU in general.

On the Defenders’ possible excursion into the wider MCU, for example, in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapane said: “The joke we make is, ‘Oh, those guys are uptown – we’re downtown!’

“We kind of have a pocket that’s in this world of Hell’s Kitchen, in this world of New York. I always think that maybe these characters take little vacations into the larger world but the story that we’re focusing on is really granular.”

Tidbit:

Word on the street is that once Daredevil: Born Again season 3 wraps, the story will get a finale in the form of a big-screen outing for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

I’ll keep you all posted…

Personally, I think these characters, especially Daredevil – he dated Black Widow in the comics! – needs brought into the wider MCU more, but I’m happy just to know that, even if they aren’t out there fighting the likes of Dr Doom or Thanos, they’re in the shadows, fighting the good fight.

Thoughts? I know you have them and I wanna hear ’em all!
