According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW has added Patrick Sabongui to the cast of The Flash pilot that has already started production. He will play the role of Central City Police Captain David Singh, a character created by Geoff Johns and Francis Manapul in the third volume of The Flash in 2010.
His role is said to be a guest appearance for the pilot but should the show be taken to series, there’s an opportunity that he could be added as a recurring character.
The cast of the show includes Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, Candice Patton as Iris West, Jesse L. Martin as Iris’s father, Detective West, Rick Gosnett as Central City Police Detective Eddie Thawne aka Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon aka Vibe, Danielle Panabaker as S.T.A.R. Labs bioengineer Caitlin Snow aka Killer Frost, Tom Cavanagh as S.T.A.R. Labs CEO Harrison Wells, Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen, and John Wesley Shipp, from the original The Flash TV series, in an unspecified role.
The Flash arrives from co-creators Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg who, along with Geoff Johns, will write the pilot episode with Arrow pilot director David Nutter at the helm.
