Of the major changes that came with the New 52, the revamp of the DC Universe, one of the most talked about (and scrutinized) was the redo of Superman’s costume. Gone where the classic red trunks, and in came a more sleeker, slightly more believable outfit for the man of steel. One that ironically was used as the costume in Man of Steel.
Now, in the upcoming Superman #38, Superman is getting another costume change.
To be fair, it’s not too much different. The fingerless gloves and the new belt stand out, the rest are just slight modifications to the outfit.
UPDATE!: Along with the new costume, Superman is apparently set to get some new powers as well. In an interview, Geoff Johns noted that “It’s definitely the most destructive power Superman has,” says Johns. “And he’s not exactly excited about it because it is so dangerous and there are consequences.”
How destructive? Well…
