Starting in October, Gail Simone will be handing the reins of Batgirl over to Cameron Stewart and Brenden Fletcher. The two will be taking Babs in an entirely new tone and the plot of their story starts with everything she owns being destroyed in a fire. They plan to take the book in a new, lighthearted direction. They also plan on giving her a makeover. Barb’s costume hasn’t changed much in recent years and this new look seems pretty fresh and I for one really enjoy the change.
