In another case of “how has this not happened before?!?!”, it has been announced that IDW and DC Comics will be teaming up for a comic event that’ll crossover the Star Trek and Green Lantern universes for the first time ever.
Titled, Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War, the series will feature the movie version of the Starship Enterprise meeting Hal Jordon and members of the Corps in the 23rd century. Mike Johnson will write, with Angel Hernandez doing art.
“We’ve looked forward to bringing these two iconic universes together for a long time,” IDW President and COO Greg Goldstein said. “Star Trek and Green Lantern both share so many of the same science-fiction adventure themes and ideals, that a galaxy-spanning crossover like this is simply…logical.”
Oh, and in case you were curious, yes, some of the crew of the Enterprise WILL become Green Lanterns. Oh look, Chris Pine is there…
