Art and Franco have been on fire recently, and not just because they finished up with Itty Bitty Hellboy either! With a new Tiny Titans coming out soon as well as their own title Aw Yeah Comics, they are making lots of little kids happy.

L’il Battlestar Galactica is full of funny bits, and CYLONS! The CYLONS make a woo-woo sound, that drives everyone crazy. They also make cute little baby heads according to Athena. That was my favorite part. When the CYLONS come to claim their heads, she says “Wake up babies, your mommies are here.” They of course have to get their heads, so they can get their woo-woo sound back. It was so funny. We also see a cute scene with Starbuck, and Apollo. Apollo is saying he “can’t wait to get to Earth”, all the while Starbuck is telling him everything is right here. Literally! The stars, the cold temperature, the metal building; which of course is The Galactica! We also see Boomer, Muffit, Baltar and Adama. Starbuck, and Apollo make fun of Baltar’s “sandwich looking ship,” along with other numerous funny lines.

The art is beautiful as always. The words are big and bold, so it’s easier for young readers just starting out. It’s classic, bright, and appealing to the eyes. The CYLON fight scenes explode in amazing colors. There are also activity pages for the kids to do. Which 2 CYLONS are identical, and name that planet are a few. Just little tidbits that make their comics stand out from the rest.

This is why I can’t express my love of their comics enough. I have kids, and I want them to walk in to the comic shop excited to buy comics. I want them to tell all their friends about the cool Battlestar comic, or Superman comic they read. This is my wish for all little readers; Art and Franco make it very easy by creating funny, quality, amazing comics. They take things that we can’t really share with our little ones, and make them all ages. That makes them my favorite kind of creators.
