Dark Horse Comics is set to publish a stunning hardcover collection of Cory Levine’s tale of a politically and socially divided early America in Bowery Boys: Our Fathers!

Penned by Cory Levine, with artwork by rising-star artists Ian Bertram (Detective Comics, Batman Eternal) and Brent McKee (Outlaw Territory), Bowery Boys: Our Fathers will collect the first five seasons of theacclaimed web series.

When his father is framed for murder, immigrant Nikolaus McGovern rallies a motley crew of street youths in a rip-roaring coming-of-age adventure based in antebellum New York City!

In a story set against a backdrop of rampant political corruption, vicious street gangs, nascent labor reform, and ardent xenophobia, can Niko and his friends triumph in a life-and-death battle against their oppressors, or will they succumb to the engines of socioeconomic progress?

“When we set out to create Bowery Boys, we did so with grand ambition and an absolute refusal to compromise on quality,” said Levine. “No publisher better aligns with our creative philosophy than Dark Horse, and we’re thrilled to bring this work into print with such dedicated and capable partners.”

Bowery Boys: Our Fathers is on sale August 5 in comic shops and August 18 in bookstores everywhere!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
