FIRST LOOK: These Aliens Vs Marvel covers are pretty damned cool

October 25th, 2020 by Marc Comments

While there’s no word on whether or not the Aliens and Predators will actually appear in the Marvel Comics universe since Disney now own the licences, we do have a nice assortment of Aliens Vs Marvel variant covers to regular books kicking off in January.

The covers will be featured on books including Amazing Spider-Man, Black Widow, Daredevil, Immortal Hulk, Thor, Venom, Wolverine, and X-Men just to name a few, and feature artwork from talents such as Javier Garron, Pepe Larraz, Salvador Larroca, Declan Shalvey, and Leinil Francis Yu and we have our first look at many of them below and, I’m never one to collect books for covers, but most of these are pretty epic.

When Marvel took over the franchise in January – previously held by Dark Horse Comics – after their acquisition of Fox, they said they wouldn’t be pulling the intergalactic monsters into the universe of Spider-man, Iron Man and the rest but I can’t help feeling these covers might be a way of gauging interest.

Hey… Batman Vs Predator was one of the best comics of the 90s, so I’m open to it so long as the writing is good.

There will be 19 Marvel vs Alien variants in total.

What do you all think of the covers? Let me know your thoughts, gang…

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
