October 9th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Paul Cornell is a British writer best known for his work in television drama as well as Doctor Who fiction, and as the creator of one of the Doctor’s spin-off companions, Bernice Summerfield. As well as Doctor Who, other television dramas for which he has written include Robin Hood, Primeval, Casualty, Holby City and Coronation Street.

Cornell has also written for a number of British comics, as well as Marvel Comics and DC Comics in America, and has had three original novels published in addition to his Doctor Who fiction.

He is currently the writer on Marvel’s Wolverine, and his latest novel, London Falling (TOR), is the first part of his highly anticipated new urban fantasy series.

Following the Nerd caught up with Paul at the Dublin International Comics Expo, and chatted about his work in comics and as a novelist, as you can see below:

I'm an LA journalist who really lives for his profession. I have also published work as Jane Doe in various mags and newspapers across the globe. I normally write articles that can cause trouble but now I write for FTN because Nerds are never angry, so I feel safe.
