Image Comics at New York Comic Con!

September 27th, 2013 by Marc Comments

Image Comics is gearing up for a fantastic New York Comic Con, taking place this year from October 10 through October 13. Eight panels, dozens of our award-winning creators signing throughout the weekend, convention exclusives, and a charity event co-hosted with Multiversity Comics on Friday night make for a packed, but exciting, convention weekend.

Image Comics is located at booth #1444 this year, and will be hosting many superstar comics creators. In honor of the tenth anniversary of THE WALKING DEAD and the hot-off-the-presses debut of the massive All Out War story arc in the pages of THE WALKING DEAD #115, creators Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard will be making appearances at the Image Comics/Skybound booth throughout the weekend. New series premiering at the convention, THREE and ROCKET GIRL creators Kieron Gillen & Ryan Kelly (THREE) and Amy Reeder & Brandon Montclare (ROCKET GIRL) will be signing at the Image Comics booth along side dozens of their fellow creators, including Jonathan Hickman & Nick Dragotta (EAST OF WEST), Greg Rucka & Michael Lark (LAZARUS), John Layman & Rob Guillory (CHEW), Nick Spencer (MORNING GLORIES), Image co-founder Marc Silvestri, and many more. A complete signing schedule will be released before the convention is underway.

On Friday, October 11, from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am, Image Comics and Multiversity Comics are throwing THE BIG NYCC PARTY in honor of The Hero Initiative. Located at the Houndstooth Pub on 8th Ave between 36th and 37th, this event will be for adults twenty-one and over only. A donation of $10 to The Hero Initiative is encouraged, and that donation enters you in a raffle for a collection of Image’s NYCC 2013 con exclusives.

In attendance at the party will be Ed Brisson (SHELTERED), Ryan Browne (GOD HATES ASTRONAUTS), Wes Craig (DEADLY CLASS), Nick Dragotta, Joe Eisma (MORNING GLORIES), Kieron Gillen, Ryan Kelly, Ales Kot & Michael Walsh (ZERO), Michael Lark, Ron Marz (WITCHBLADE), Jim McCann (MIND THE GAP), Brandon Montclare, Michael Moreci & Steve Seeley (HOAX HUNTERS), Amy Reeder, Jimmie Robinson (FIVE WEAPONS), Tim Seeley (REVIVAL), and Nick Spencer, making THE BIG NYCC PARTY one of your best chances to meet your favorite creators.

Image is presenting eight panels at New York Comic Con, featuring not only some of the best creators in the business, but an in-depth focus how and why they make comics like THE WALKING DEAD, LAZARUS, EAST OF WEST, and ROCKET GIRL. If you’re curious about Image Comics, creator-owned comics in general, or the creators behind the comics you buy week-in, week-out, these panels are the place to be.
