WARNING: POTENTIAL THE WALKING DEAD SPOILERS AHEAD!!

On last week’s episode of The Walking Dead, titled “Always Accountable”, we met a few new characters. One of them seemed to just be cannon fodder; destined to be eaten alive. We did, however, meet two new characters that Daryl ultimately helped and then fell victim to. It was confirmed by The Walking Dead’s official Twitter account that the man that stole Daryl’s crossbow and motorcycle was none other than comic book staple, Dwight. Dwight appeared in the comics in issue #98 and is one of the main characters throughout the HUGE story-line, All Out War.

It would appear that Dwight and his wife are running from Negan and we’re actually seeing how Dwight got his face burned whereas in the comics it was just kind of implied how it happened.

This confirmation already just reassures what we already know; Rick is on a collision course with Negan and Lucielle! We already saw some leaked footage of Negan bashing someone’s head in with Lucille that appeared to be either Glenn or Daryl. Needless to say, this season is about to get a whole lot more interesting now that we’ve been introduced to the Saviors.

What do you guys think of this news? Are you as excited as I am? Let me know in the comments below!

Big thanks to CBR for the scoop!

I'm 25 years old and I'm hugely passionate about comic books and I also LOVE gaming. The birth of my daughter, Abby, rekindled my passion for comic book stories. I grew up on them and I want nothing more than to share that passion with her! I'm a pretty typical guy, I love sports. (NHL-Blackhawks, NBA-Lakers, MLB-Cubs, and NFL-Daaaa Bears!). I've been writing for a pretty big portion of my life, and I've been nominated for multiple awards for some of the poetry I’ve written! Happy reading and follow me on Twitter @xJatmanx.
