Hello and welcome to the latest episode of the Following the Nerd podcast.

On the show this week we’ll have all the biggest nerd news including our opinion on the latest incarnation of the Joker as Jared Leto’s Suicide Squad look is revealed… and it’s dividing the fans.

We’ll be looking forward to the new series of Doctor Who and it seems that one of the biggest questions in the Whoniverse may be answered this coming season.

Has Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon had a fall out with Marvel? We ponder this as we look back over some of his comments on Ant-man, Daredevil, Agents of SHIELD and DC this week and wonder what’s going on with the Nerd god?

And, speaking of Age of Ultron, is there an extended cut coming… and does it tie into the aforementioned Whedon issue too?

Also, has Marvel and Sony decided on their Spider-man? And is Fox’s X-men franchise coming to an end? What could this mean for the future of Marvel movies?

We’ll also have Stuart from the Monday Movie Show Podcast on with the latest movie and video game news and boxoffice top ten countdown.

As always, I’m your host Marc and with me once more in the studio I have the man who once cosplayed as Slave Leia at Belfast Comic Con and didn’t come home for four days. He still refuses to talk about it, or how he ended up four inches shorter. We respect his privacy .

His family know him as Stephen but to everyone else he’s known simply as… Saxon

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
