Hello and welcome to the latest episode of the Following the Nerd Podcast.

We’re running a little late this week due to holidays and the like… happy July!

On the show this week we’ll be looking back over three weeks of news – yes, we’ve be relaxing – and trying to get everyone up to with San Diego Comic Con.

There’s going to an abundance of Ghostbusters talks as, since the last time we aired, there’s been costumes, proton packs and vehicles revealed.

LEGO Dimensions set things alight with the new trailer that had Doctor Who and Batman together… a fanboy dream come through.

Plus, our good friends Erik Burnham and Dan Schoening will be teaming up with the legend that is Bob Gale for IDW’s new Back to the Future comic series. Seriously, this is heavy.

It seems that finally we at FTN have a Marvel movie character all the guys can agree is really attractive… Aunt May. Yes, you heard us right – more on that during the show.

Also, big Star Wars news this week as Lucasfilm announced everyone’s favourite scoundrel, Han Solo, will be getting his own standalone movie and we’re really excited about who is helping it.

And in a surprise move – not – Harry Shearer has returned to The Simpsons after getting everyone in a tizzy a few weeks back.

Also, we’ll have our man Andrew on with his big movie review – Marvel’s Ant-man – and we’ll be talking to Padraig from the Titanic Quarter in Belfast about their big ongoing event called, simply, Robots.

All this and much, much more on the show tonight…

We’ll also have Stuart from the Monday Movie Show on with the latest movie news, videogame news and boxoffice top ten countdown.

As always, I’m your host Marc and with me once more in the studio I have the man who recently started working for the company I work for in real life on the night shift and was lucky he didn’t get fired because there’s apparently a strict company rule against capes and fangs. Who knew?

His family know him as Stephen but to everyone else he’s known simply as… Saxon

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
