Abrams to continue Trek work despite Star Wars news

January 26th, 2013 by bash Comments

Paramount Pictures has told The LA Times that JJ Abrams remains committed to Star Trek despite news leaking that he is to direct the next Star Wars film.

The studio claimed that the Lost creator would be back for a third Star Trek film even if only as a producer and that he was also attached to at least one more film in the Mission: Impossible franchise.

Abrams next film, Star Trek Into Darkness, hits theaters on May 17 while Star Wars: Episode VII is being written by Michael Arndt and is scheduled to be released in 2015.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
