Avengers: Age of Ultron to shoot in South Korea, another cast member added?

February 2nd, 2014 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

It seems that Joss Whedon was not kidding when he called Avengers: Age of Ultron a global Avengers film. In addition to shooting in several parts of Italy, and South Africa, it seems the production is going to be doing even more globe hopping. Twitch reports that the film will be setting up shop in Incheon City, just outside Seoul, South Korea for at least a brief period.

The site also reports that local actress Kim Soo-hyun (not to be confused with the actor of the same name) has been cast in the film, in a role they’re saying is a villain.

None of this is confirmed by Marvel yet.

The Whedon sequel stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and James Spader.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for release on May 1, 2015
