Variety are reporting that Juliette Binoche is in talks to join Gareth Edwards’ reboot of the Godzilla franchise.
The Chocolat star, who most recently appeared in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, could be joined by Aaron Johnson, Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Olsen for the film which is due for release on May 16, 2014 .
Based on the classic monster from Toho Co., Ltd, Godzilla has featured in more than 25 films, television programs, video games and book series. Legendary, the studio behind the project, and its partner Warner Bros. is planning to return the character to its epic roots with a gritty, realistic actioner.
The film is expected to be presented in 3D.
