Black Lightning confirmed for full series at The CW

May 11th, 2017 by Marc Comments

DC vigilante Black Lightning is set for his own series on The CW.

While we’ve known of a while that the show was going into production but now it’s been confirmed as having been picked up for a full series… so Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl have a new season long friend!

Based on the DC character created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden, Black Lightning centres on Jefferson Pierce, a man who hung up his suit and secret identity years ago, but returns to the fold after his daughter, Jennifer becomes hellbent on justice.

The series was first announced as in development last September with plans for it to air on Fox. That has changed however and we will now see the character joining the likes of Supergirl, Arrow and The Flash on the network.

Cress Williams (Black Lightning), Nefessa Williams, China Anne McClain and Christine Adams all star.

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife.
