Time Fracture is a major Doctor Who interactive event hitting London later this month and it’s just officially revealed a massive cast list that will have Doctor Who fans salivating in excitement.
The event, which times loosely into the Time Lord Victorious multimedia event over the last year (here) has been delayed several times due to that damned virus allows Doctor Who fans to become fully immersed in the world of the Gallifreian Time Lord.
After the news in the last few days that John Barrowman’s contribution to Time Fracture has been removed (here) from the show over, em, accusations against the star, it’s now time to learn that nevertheless, the cast will be very, very full and pretty exciting.
The official Time Fracture Twitter account has revealed that the show will include ALL the Doctors from the show’s history including Jo Martin’s unknown Doctor introduced last series.
“Beginning May 26, fans can experience the first-ever interactive multi-Doctor story when 42 live actors and recorded performances from Doctor Who cast members are combined to create a unique show.
“The BBC has now confirmed that classic series Doctor actors Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy will all lend their face and/or voice to the show in new scenes, along with Whittaker and Martin.
“David Bradley will be reprising his role as the First Doctor, while Patrick Troughton’s son Michael Troughton is set to take over the role of the Second Doctor.
“There will be other actors providing the voices of Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors… In a fitting tribute to his father, Michael Troughton provides voice over for Patrick Troughton’s Second Doctor.”
Interestingly, there is no mention of Paul McGann’s eighth Doctor (who has had a whole new life in the Big Finish audio adventures), raising a few eyebrows.
However, it’s not just Doctors that are appearing: “Jemma Redgrave return[s] as UNIT’s Kate Lethbridge-Stewart and impressionist Jon Culshaw [is] voicing The Doctor’s classic ally The Brigadier… TV series voice actor Nicholas Briggs will bring the Cybermen and the Daleks to life!”
On the removal of Barrowman’s Capt Jack, they say: “We will continue to include content that pays tribute to this brilliant show that is Torchwood so as not to disappoint its fans, and are working on an exciting storyline to be announced soon.”
If you are a Doctor Who fan and can make it to London in the coming weeks, this is going to be a spectacular event.
