November 12th, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr 1 Comment

Drew Goddard is set to write the Man without Fear. According to The Wrap, The Cabin in the Woods helmer is in talks to write Marvel Studios and Netflix’s upcoming Daredevil series, one of several that will build to a crossover miniseries, The Defenders.

Other planned series include Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, with the epic unfolding over multiple years of original programming, taking Netflix members deep into the gritty world of heroes and villains of Hell’s Kitchen, New York. Netflix has committed to a minimum of four, thirteen episodes series and the culminating mini-series event that reimagines a dream team of self-sacrificing, heroic characters.

Goddard has had a long standing relationship with Marvel’s The Avengers director Joss Whedon. In addition to working together on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, they collaborated on the screenplay to Cabin in the Woods. Goddard’s other credits include writing work on World War Z, Cloverfield , and Alias and Lost.

What do you think of the choice?
