Dwayne Johnson teases potential DC Comics project

December 31st, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

Dwayne The Rock Johnson has announced to his fans via his annual end-of-year Twitter “Rock Talk” that he has just had a studio meeting regarding a DC Comics property.

“We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re: @DCComics 2014 we will partner up and create the cool bad assery.” #RockTalk Johnson responded to a fan asking if he’d ever play a comic book character.

This isn’t the first time that Johnson has been linked to a DC film. His name was previously tied to the Black Adam role in director Peter Segal’s now on hold Billy Batson and the Legend of Shazam! and, last year, there was talk that might star in the now also-now-defunct Lobo feature film.

Could either of those projects be back on track or is Jonson planning something else? The only DC Comics film currently announced to shoot in 2014 is Zack Snyder’s Batman vs Superman and it’s also a possibility that Johnson might appear in that film. The photo below was a promo for “Rock Talk” is it a clue?

What DC Comics character would you like to see Johnson play?
