Empire has our look at Christian Bale playing the biblical prophet Moses in Ridley Scott‘s Exodus: Gods And Kings. In the image above, Moses witnesses the suffering of his people at the hands of the Pharaoh. Empire adds that there are reports of thousands of extras being cast, mirroring the epic scale of the 1956 Cecil B. De Mille classic The Ten Commandments.
The story will follow Moses as he leads the Israelites out of Egypt into the Sinai desert and eventually to their Promised Land.
The film also stars Joel Edgerton as Pharaoh Ramses, Sigourney Weaver as Tuya, the mother of Ramses, John Turturro as Seti the father of Ramses, Aaron Paul as the Hebrew Slave Joshua, Ben Kingsley and Indira Varma.
The movie comes out in the UK cinemas on December 5, 2014 and on December 12th in the US.
