FIRST LOOK: Poster and big move for Infinity Train Season 3

July 8th, 2020 by Marc Comments

Good news for fans of Cartoon Network’s rather wonderful Infinity Train series.

It seems that, despite us hearing recently that a third season isn’t coming, it is set to return soon and, from the new poster (above) it’s heading to HBO Max.

Fans of this cracking little series will recall that season two introduced us to The Apex: a group of youngsters who, like the main characters in season one and two, didn’t want to get off the Infinity Train but rather built a society on it. Honestly, the episodes are brief, if you’ve not seen it you really should.

Now it seems that the leaders of Apex, Grace and Simon, are set to become the focus and main protagonists for season 3… so it should have a very different feel from the other seasons and should also delve further into life on the titular train.

In the third season of Infinity Train, during one of Apex’s routine scavenging missions Grace and Simon find themselves separated from their group, and they realize that they’ll have to rely on one another if they want a shot at actually surviving the train’s dangerous cars. Dead set as they are on clinging to Apex’s way of life, when they end up meeting Hazel, an optimistic young girl traversing the train with her gorilla friend Tuba, it isn’t long before Grace and Simon begin to realize that there might just be another way to survive and thrive on the Infinity Train that doesn’t revolve around getting over on others.

Infinity Train Season 3 will debut on HBO Max later this year

Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
