Game of Thrones Themed Game Coming To Online Gaming

October 17th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Game of Thrones is one of the most successful TV shows around at the moment and it really was only a matter of time before this HBO title was made into a game to be enjoyed by all online gamers. Microgaming, the largest casino software developer in the world is currently developing the Game of Thrones slots game and it will hit online casinos around the world in late 2014. There is great excitement about this project and with such a massive fan base for this series, it is expected that online casino signups will soar upon release of this title.

According to Microgaming’s CEO, Roger Raatgever, they are planning on taking all the features from this TV series and creating a brand new themed slots game. He also stated that the brand is a highly relevant and extremely popular show and this fantasy epic is going to be amazing in a slots game. He didn’t give away that much information in his statement and this has left fans anticipating the release to see where their favourite characters will be found. The director of HBO global licensing, Josh Goodstadt, stated in a press release that “Game of Thrones has a huge global presence online, and a partnership with Microgaming will extend the show’s reach into a completely different realm.” He also went on to say that HBO have every confidence that the fan base for the show will be really excited that they will have another way to engage with its epic characters.

Game of Thrones Slots Features

There isn’t that much information about the details that this slots title will have but what we do know, is that fans will find their favourite characters featured in the slot game. We are anticipating that the reel symbols will include several of the main characters including cruel queen Cersei Lannister, dragon lady Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, Tywin Lannister and Tyrion Lannister. There will probably be more characters features and even some footage from some of the best moments of the series. At the moment we are still speculating on what we might find but with 2014 drawing to a close, the wait to see exactly what this game will include is nearly over.

If rumours are to be believed, the new game will be an “All Ways Slots” title which is Microgaming’s special slots that include pick and win, random feature and free spins. There should also be wilds and scatters as well as multiple paylines. We will also expect to see a fantastic bonus game and hopefully we will also see dragon eggs and the Iron Throne made of swords.

With the game expected to hit online casinos worldwide in late 2014, a lot of people will be anxious to see how good the game actually is. The highly regulated UK market will likely see the first release of the game. This should be followed by Canada where more and more information about whether or not Canadian casinos are legal has been pouring out and leaning in favour of players. Unfortunately, US-based players won’t have access to this game until Microgaming strikes a licensing deal with a licensed casino in New Jersey, Nevada or Delaware. Nevertheless, the highly anticipated Game of Thrones online slot should garner quite a crowd upon its release date.
