DCU Jimmy Olsen series starring Gisondo gets greenlight

Following on from his adventures in this summer’s Superman, it seems that Clark Kent’s best friend, Jimmy Olsen, played by Skyler Gisondo, is getting his own TV series.

American Vandal writers Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda will write the DCU series, which will see the Daily Planet photographer tangle with various DC villains, including The Flash villain, Gorilla Grod, the leader of Gorilla City and a criminal mastermind (yes, the DCU is going to get wild!), whi is reported to be a big part of the first season.

No word on when we can expect to see the series, but now that it’s been greenlit, this could be a great way to introduce lesser-known DC villains and also to shine the spotlight on villains who will be bigger in future projects. It could also be a lot of fun.

Along with Lanterns, Peacemaker, Creature Commandos, and more, it seems James Gunn and Peter Safran’s plan for two movies, one animated serie,s and several live-action shows each year is well underway.

Thoughts? I know you have the,m and I wanna hear ’em all.
