We already know that Fast and Furious 7 has been green lit and is already in pre-production for release next summer, with James Wan taking over as director.
Ever since 2011, rumors have been swirling that the sixth and seventh chapters in the Furious franchise would be telling one massive, linked story. Then as Fast & Furious 6 started gearing up, Jason Statham was mentioned a lot, only for him to reportedly turn down the role. But the rumors persisted as they usually do, and earlier this year a crazy mega spoiler was shared by Ain’t It Cool News indicating that Statham would be in the franchise, but for Fast & Furious 7. DesdeHollywood recently sat down with Michelle Rodriguez aka Letty (sheeee’s back) and when asked about Statham’s involvement in Fast & Furious 7, she was pretty enthusiastic about it, confirming he’s in the movie: “Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, when you see these guys in a room you know they belong together […] You can see in their eyes that they have gone through a lot […] I applaud Universal for getting him on-board!”
