Marvel’s animated series What If…? is well under way now with multiple unnamed projects in the works, this is a perfect way to bring back characters whom have since been killed off, or to do story-lines that won’t fit in with the normal MCU.
Now, according to the word of Jeff Goldblum we will be seeing (or at least hearing) him and Robert Downey Jr return to the screen as the Grandmaster and Tony Stark/Iron Man respectively.
In one of Goldblum’s Buzzfeed interviews he talked about his return to Marvel and let a little slip about who he’d be working with.
“I played the part again a couple of days ago. I went to the Disney studios and I recorded the Grandmaster’s voice for an episode of a show that’s gonna be on Disney+ that’s called What If…? It’s an animated version of all the characters we know and love from Marvel. And this episode included the Grandmaster and Iron Man, so Robert Downey will do a voice for that and Korg – Taika Waititi – had already recorded his voice for that. So yeah, for a couple hours I enjoyed doing that again.”
So, looks like Goldblum, RDJ and Taika will all be doing something together… what on earth (or possibly Sakaar) could those three be getting up to?
I for one can’t wait to find out as we already have a release date of summer 2021, I know it may sound like far away but I’m sure it’ll creep up on us quicker than you expect.
Until then you can stay tuned for more news and, like always, stay nerdy folks.
